OGFLIX

OGFLIX helps you find what to watch in India: films, series, TV shows and sports, where they stream, and what other fans think. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

The short version. We collect what we need to run your account and show you good picks. We show ads through Google AdMob, and on iPhone you choose whether apps can track you for ads. We don't sell your personal data. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time.

What we collect

Your account

• Your email address and the name you sign in with. You can sign up with email, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. With Apple, you can choose to hide your email; we then only see Apple's relay address.
• An optional display name, username, short bio and profile picture.

What you do in OGFLIX

• Titles you save, mark as watched, log, rate or track, and the lists and boards you make.
• The OTT apps you tick as yours, your language choices and your theme.
• Reviews, comments and ratings you post on films, series, shows and matches.
• Your fan votes (for example "Who should stay?" on reality shows) and your Critic Court rulings.
• Friends you add, people you follow, and titles you send to each other.
• Reels or links you choose to share into OGFLIX so we can find the title in them.
• Feedback, bug reports and support messages you send us.

From your device

• A device identifier and a notification token, so we can send the alerts you turn on.
• Crash and performance data, so we can fix problems.
• Ads data (see "Ads" below).

Ads

OGFLIX is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, ad interaction data, your approximate location (from your IP address, never GPS), and crash data.

• On iPhone, OGFLIX asks before allowing tracking. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are not personalised using your activity in other apps and websites. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Settings → Google → Ads.

How we use your data

• To run your account and sync it across devices.
• To show where a title streams, your picks for tonight, Top 10s and alerts you asked for.
• To show your reviews, comments and votes to other users, under your display name.
• To keep OGFLIX safe: to act on reports, remove content that breaks our rules and block abusive accounts.
• To fix bugs and improve the app.
• To show ads, as described above.

What other people can see

Your reviews, comments, ratings and the name and picture on them are public to other OGFLIX users. Your fan votes are counted in totals; other users see the totals, not how you voted. Your profile is private unless you turn on a public profile. Your email is never shown to other users.

Permissions

• Notifications: alerts for titles you track, new arrivals and messages from friends. Each kind can be switched off.
• Microphone: used only while you hold the voice-search button. No audio is recorded or kept.
• Photos: only for the single picture you choose as your avatar.
• Tracking (iPhone): only to personalise ads, and only if you allow it.

All of these are optional. If you decline any of them, the rest of the app keeps working.

Watch and Book buttons

Watch and Book buttons open another app or website, such as an OTT app or a ticket app. That service's own privacy policy applies there. Some links carry a partner code, so we may earn a commission. This never changes the price you pay.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that run OGFLIX for us (hosting, database, sign-in, notifications, email and ads), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete any review, comment or saved item at any time. Delete your account from You → Account settings → Delete account, or at our support page. Deleting your account permanently erases your profile, picture, saves, lists, reviews, comments, votes, friends and alerts within 30 days. Ad data held by Google follows Google's retention rules.

Children

OGFLIX is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
